With over 20 years in the skin industry, Carmen McNamara has built a reputation for delivering thoughtful, results-driven skin care grounded in both education and experience.
Her journey began with a genuine curiosity about skin; how it functions, what influences it, and how to create meaningful, long-term change. What started as a personal interest quickly became a lifelong passion.
After training both locally and internationally, including at the renowned Steiner Academy in London, Carmen returned to Perth to complete her qualifications in Cosmetic Dermal Science at AACDS. Over time, she refined a considered, personalised approach to skin health that focuses on understanding the individual rather than applying a one-size-fits-all treatment plan.
Known for her honest guidance and ability to treat complex concerns such as acne, rosacea, ageing, and pigmentation, Carmen works closely with clients to support their skin at every stage. For her, it has always been about more than just results; it is about creating an experience where clients feel seen, supported, and confident in their skin.
A proud mother of three, Carmen is also the founder of Little Sunshine Spa, Perth’s first organic baby spa, created from the same philosophy of gentle, nurturing care and meaningful connection.
Skin Fairy was founded in January 2015 with a clear intention: to create a space that prioritises skin health, education, and long-term results over quick fixes.
Since opening, the clinic has grown into one of Perth’s most trusted skin destinations, recognised not only for its results but for the experience it offers. Under Carmen’s leadership, Skin Fairy has been awarded DMK Clinic of the Year (Australia) for 10 consecutive years, with a team member also receiving DMK Therapist of the Year annually across the same decade.
This level of recognition reflects a consistent commitment to advanced skin revision, ongoing education, and a genuine standard of care that goes beyond the treatment room. Skin Fairy continues to evolve while staying grounded in its original purpose; helping clients achieve real, lasting results through a considered and personalised approach.
